laboratory facilities gives us great flexibility in designing
burners to fit our customers application, rather than changing
their application to fit an off-the-shelf burner. This flexibility
minimizes the changes to an existing application thereby
reducing the cost and increasing efficiency for our customers.
New burner combustion surface materials and recent technological
advancements have resulted in improved burner materials
like ceramic plaques, wire mesh. and woven ceramic fabric
(WCF). These new materials allow Solaronics engineers the
ultimate flexibility in design and configuration to meet
all of our customers needs. One of the most important concerns
today is the environment. New government regulations are
sure to require lower NOx (Nitrogen Oxides) emissions from
gas appliances. Solaronics Gas Infra-Red burners already
offer one of the lowest NOx emissions of any burner on the
market today. For Example: a conventional gas cook top burner
will produce 95 ppm of NOx emissions, while an burner of
the same size will produce 4.5 ppm. An infra-red water heater
produces 85% less NOx than a conventional water heater and
the infra-red burner provides higher efficiency.
